Uplifting memories ...
This holiday season, we've been going through some of our family photos and photos from vacations and holidays. I started thinking about how I felt when looking at these glimpses into my life. The memories of my grandmother who passed away are tender and nostalgic. The photo of me holding my daughter as an infant takes me back to that moment. The pictures of the waterfall I discovered on a mountain trek put me back into that refreshed, relaxed mode. I started thinking of how great it would be to be able to look through all of those photos on a more regular basis, and how all those relaxed, warm, loving thoughts the pictures inspire couldn't help but have a positive effect on my health as well as my emotional outlook. This year I've seen a great way to accomplish that goal ... using a digital photo frame. I'm going to choose all my most uplifting and calming pictures, and load them into a digital frame and set them to play on slideshow. I may even set the whole thing to music, since some frames have that capability. I can't wait to see my photos cycling on my desk ... I know what I'm giving myself for Christmas this year!
